Bottom surface is treated with a slip light absorbing coating and then a micro thin silicone based coating applied to create coupling grip on the top of the CD this side goes DOWN
The CDs spin at about 500 rpm when read near the center, decreasing to approximately 200 rpm when read near the circumference, producing a constant linear velocity. The exclusive silicone pads allow the CD MAT to start without uncoupling from the CD as it accelerates and it maintains concentricity and speed stability during playback.

LJT Manufacturing utilizes .02 Carbon Fibre as a raw material, the finished product is coated one side with epoxy and the underside with light absorbing coating and a micro thin silicone layer. The extreme grip of the micro thin silicone based coating provides great coupling and anti-slip capability to the CD Mat, thus better vibration dampening.
Improvement in the soundstage is bigger, wider and more spread out, providing a stunning sense of a true stage presence
The dynamics and bass and percussion significantly improve and the edginess of the high range is smoothed out and provides a much more analogue experience
The transport will operate with less resonance and the improved stability reduces read errors
Last but not least, it enables very poor/scratched CD to work when in many cases they will not due to excessive surface scratches and light deflection. Case and Point, I picked a few of my completely unplayable CD’s. Fleetwood Mac and few more, they all played. One or two skip read errors vs. unplayable. The light scattering from the excessive scratches was controlled, reduced and the CD’s were playable.

Compatibility Notes:
Carbon Fiber CD Mat should not be used in changers of any kind or slot-loading disc players. Do not use with transports/players based on the Pioneer Stable Platter mechanism such as Theta Jade/ owners among others. Do not use on computer-sourced hi-speed drives (such as players like the Meridians that 'read-ahead' on the disk using multiple passes and buffer the data, or recorder/burners like the Alesis MasterLink.
Do not use the CD Mat in car players, period. This device is designed primarily designed for front loading or top (tpt) loading CD and DVD format players and may not work with all formats, it is impossible to test all the variables.
The carbon disk is flat and in most cases can be used with a clamp/top clamp system CD drive system.
