Platter Bearing Systems

Extreme Duty Silent Non Contact Bearing Design

Bearing Shaft: Industries only MASSIVE 1.0 Diameter Micro Grain Solid Carbide/Polished .00005 Maximum out of roundness and taper not exceeding .00005 (yes, ½ of one tenth of one thousands of an inch)
This design provides no lateral movement of the platter under any circumstances. Carbide ball is located in center bored pocket for near 0 thrust drag. Micro Polished, on center.

Bearing Tolerances:

1.       In Process inspection
2.       Measurements performed 100 % on all dimensions
3.       Air Gauging for Bore to .00002 measurement accuracy
4.       Shaft Diameter measurement Accuracy within .00005
5.       Proprietary Material and design requires no maintenance
6.       No Metal to Metal Contact proprietary Oil bath/.00015 clearance oil layer between bearing and bearing shaft bearing surface oil is permanent.
7.       Tolerances: Bearing/Maximum out of roundness: .00005 and parallelism .00004
8.       Platter Run out at Maximum Diameter of 13.100 plus: TIR: .0008
9.       Platter Parallelism/Square to centerline: .0009

Bearing Specification:

1.       Weight: : 900 GRAM / 2 lbs
2.       Dimensions:
3.       Diameter at Flange: 3.475 x .25
4.       Diameter of Body: 2.500 x 1.5 DP
5.       Length:
6.       Oiling System: No Maintenance or bearing oiling required
Bearing Oiling Systems

Permanent Oil Bath and Special bearing materials "absorb Oil" and continually self lubricate for ultra low friction and silent operation. The oil film provides a microscopic film and does not allow metal to metal contact.

The bearing allows our platter to spin freely with a pinky even at a massive 81 lbs. The design ultimately precise and this provides the industry’s most accurate and robust bearing design.
